Tendering for Contracts Training Qualifies Under Leadership & Management Grant -
The Leadership and Management grant offer was put in place to develop the skills of senior
leaders/key decision makers within businesses to help them grow both professionally and
personally within their sectors and the economy.
The original grant offer (dependent upon eligibility criteria being met) was funding for
between (1 and 7) senior managers to access a grant of up to £1000 per person, if the
company contributed £500 per person, towards a development activity within the remit
of Leadership and Management.
This offer has been authorized by the Learning & Skills Council will be for the final year of this grant 2010/11, subject to availability, so you are strongly advised to enquire now
as to your eligibility for a grant.
The offer criteria covers the following:
For companies employing between (5 - 249) UK Full Time Equivalent employees, the funding is available for (3 Senior Leaders), up to a maximum of £3,000 (dependent on previous applications)
For companies employing between (250 - 999) UK Full Time Equivalent employees, the funding is available for (2 Senior Leaders), up to a maximum of £2000 (dependent on previous applications)
The funding may require a financial contribution from the employer. For example, for a manager to receive the maximum £1,000 grant, the employer must contribute £500 towards the total of a £1,500 training cost.
Funding will be worked out on an individual company basis.
The Senior Leaders must be based and work in the North West and have not previously accessed any LSC Leadership and Management funding.
The funding can not be used for Statutory/Mandatory or technical training, membership fees, travel, equipment, accommodation, VAT or any ESF funded activities.
No individual Leader can receive more than £1,000 of grant support.
It is aimed at leaders/senior managers/key decision makers - supervisors and team leaders would not normally qualify for the LMAS funding.
